Role: Fire and Security Design Estimator
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire and Security Designer or a Senior Engineer looking to move off the tools? As a Fire and Security Design Estimator, you will support the delivery of bespoke life safety and security system designs, working across major construction and data centre projects. You will be joining an NSI Gold-accredited fire and security provider with over 25 years’ experience delivering high-quality, integrated design and installation solutions throughout the UK.
Responsibilities:
● Progress sales enquiries and tender requirements, collaborating closely with Business Development Managers
● Design life safety, security and integrated building systems in line with project specifications
● Prepare proposals, quotations and tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
● Assess risk factors influencing system design and ensure compliance with all technical and regulatory standards
● Review customer specification changes and update designs accordingly
● Ensure system design specifications meet the client’s technical, commercial and operational requirements
Experience and Certifications Required:
● Strong technical understanding of fire and security systems
● Experience interpreting and producing technical drawings and specifications (desired)
● Previous experience in system design, estimating or a senior engineering position within the fire & security sector
