The University of Portsmouth’s Centre for Cybercrime and Economic Crime’s inaugural public lecture, chaired by Co-Director Professor Mark Button, features three academics on global scamming hotspots.
Professor Tim Hall (University of Winchester) explores the geography of scamming, while Dr Paul Gilmour (Portsmouth) examines scam operations in India, drawing on recent international research. Dr Suleman Lazarus (LSE) discusses West African scam networks drawing on the result of various studies he has been involved with. A hybrid event, co-hosted with the International Society of Economic Criminology, on Tuesday, December 9, from 5.30–7.00pm.
