Role: Door Entry & CCTV Engineer
Location: Newport
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Door Entry & CCTV Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of door entry/intercom and CCTV systems across commercial and residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, using modern systems and technologies while delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities:

Install, commission, and maintain door entry/intercom systems

Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP and analogue CCTV systems

Diagnose and repair faults across door entry and CCTV platforms
-
Carry out cable runs, containment, and terminations in line with best practice

Ensure compliance with current industry regulations and standards

Complete all job documentation, including service reports and asset records

Liaise professionally with clients, end-users, and site managers

Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, RAMS, and site-specific protocols
Experience and Certifications Required:

Hands-on experience with:
-
Door Entry Systems: BPT, Comelit, Videx, Fermax
-
CCTV Systems: Hikvision, Dahua, Avigilon, Axis

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
-
Familiarity with IP networking and remote CCTV access (beneficial)

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Able to work independently or as part of a team across multiple sites

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
