Role: Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Location: London, Essex, Kent, South East
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Are you looking for a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer position working across London, Essex, Kent, and the South East? As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing new and existing fire detection and alarm systems while maintaining excellent engineering practices and delivering high-quality work for a respected and growing organisation. You will be working for a specialist fire and security provider operating across the commercial sector.
Responsibilities:
- Install fire detection and alarm systems in line with BS5839 guidance and recommendations
- Maintain company equipment in good working order
- Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and housekeeping on all work sites
- Provide progress updates to management as required
- Maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities
- Manage and account for tools and plant equipment in line with project requirements
- Comply with all health, safety, security and environmental policies
- Submit weekly progress reports to the Project Engineer and Project Manager
Experience and Certifications Required:
- City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience installing containment and cabling for fire detection and alarm systems
- Previous experience working within commercial environments
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
- Working knowledge of BS 5839 Pt 1, BS 6266 Pt 1 and BS 7273
- FIA training – Unit 1 (Fire Detection Design) and Unit 4 (Installation & Testing)
- Hold CSCS / ECS / SSSTS or equivalent
- IPAF and PASMA certifications
