Role: Fire Alarm Small Works Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Small Works Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for carrying out small installations, system modifications, and remedial works on fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites.
Responsibilities:

Carry out small works, system additions, and modifications to existing fire alarm systems.

Complete remedial works identified during maintenance or inspection visits.

Install and commission fire alarm panels, devices, and wiring to industry standards.

Ensure all work complies with BS5839 and company quality procedures.

Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Experience and Certifications Required:

Proven experience working with a range of fire alarm systems (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent).

Strong fault-finding, installation, and commissioning skills.

Good understanding of BS5839-1 regulations.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

ECS/CSCS card essential; FIA training or manufacturer courses beneficial.

Full UK driving licence required.
