Role: Fire & Security Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background to work on a variety of systems and technologies within a growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and service Fire, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and planned preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards and company procedures.
- Work closely with clients and site contacts to provide professional customer service.
- Complete all required reports, documentation, and job sheets accurately.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and promote best practice on site.
- Support colleagues and provide technical assistance where required.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience working with Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder systems.
- Good knowledge of fault diagnosis, testing, and commissioning.
- Understanding of BS5839 and BS EN standards (Fire).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
