Role: Fire & Security Estimator
Location: Essex
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Estimator based in Essex looking for a role that offers autonomy, variety, and hybrid working? As a Fire & Security Estimator, you’ll be responsible for pricing and quoting fire and security projects across London and the surrounding areas. You’ll be working for a specialist Fire & Security company with a strong reputation and a growing project pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed estimates, costings, and quotations for Fire & Security projects
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
  • Producing clear cost breakdowns and professional proposal documents
  • Supporting bid and tender submissions, including value-engineering where appropriate
  • Carrying out occasional site surveys to validate information and existing systems
  • Providing design input where beneficial to improve accuracy and project solutions

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience as a Fire & Security Estimator (or similar role), working independently
  • Strong background in fire systems (alarms, detection, etc.)
  • Experience with security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of design principles (beneficial)
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
