Role: Fire & Security Project Manager
Location: Midlands
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire & Security Project Manager looking for a role that offers hybrid working and long-term progression? This is an opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking Fire & Security contractor with a strong presence across the Midlands and several high-value projects launching in early 2026.
You’ll take ownership of Fire & Security projects from handover through to completion, acting as the key link between clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders. The role offers a true balance between home working and site presence, with minimal office attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple Fire & Security installation projects from handover to final completion
- Planning and coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors to meet programme deadlines
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring project costs, variations and commercial performance
- Reporting project progress, risks and financials to senior management
- Liaising with design and commissioning teams to ensure compliance and practical delivery
- Conducting regular site visits to review progress and manage health & safety compliance
- Preparing project documentation, progress reports and handover packs
- Ensuring adherence to BS 5839 and NSI / BSIA codes of practice
- Driving quality assurance and continuous improvement through lessons learned
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience managing Fire & Security installation projects
- Strong technical understanding of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder)
- Working knowledge or exposure to fire alarm systems
- Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and subcontractors
- Strong planning, leadership and client-facing communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands
