Pre-Sales Engineer – Fire & Security
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire (covering the Lincolnshire area)
Rate: £280–£300 per day (depending on experience)
Duration: 6-month rolling contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to support our Fire & Security division across the Lincolnshire region. This role will suit a technically skilled individual with hands-on engineering background as well as strong commercial awareness to assist with design, estimating, and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales support, including design input and system specifications for fire and security solutions.
  • Assist with preparing cost estimates, proposals, and tender documentation.
  • Work alongside the sales team to develop tailored system designs that meet client needs and industry standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and technical evaluations to ensure proposals are accurate and compliant.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to support successful project delivery.
  • Offer technical guidance and expertise throughout the sales process and handover to installation teams.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer with strong knowledge of industry systems and standards.
  • Previous involvement in pre-sales, design, or estimating within the Fire & Security sector.
  • Solid understanding of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management abilities.
