Role: Sales Design Engineer
Location: North West London
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Sales Design Engineer to design and specify integrated electronic security solutions for commercial, government, and critical infrastructure projects. This role blends technical design expertise with commercial awareness to deliver compliant, innovative, and cost-effective system proposals.
Responsibilities:

Design and specify CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems for new and existing sites.

Produce schematics, layouts, and cable schedules using CAD software.

Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and technical proposals for tenders and presentations.

Ensure all designs meet BS EN 62676, NSI, SSAIB, and client-specific standards.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to capture requirements and deliver tailored designs.

Support installation teams with documentation and on-site design clarification when needed.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design templates, workflows, and system innovations.
Experience and Certifications Required:

Proven experience designing electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms).

Proficient in CAD and capable of producing high-quality technical drawings.

Strong understanding of IP networks and security system integration.

Familiarity with British and European standards (e.g., BS EN 62676, NSI, SSAIB).

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Commercially aware with a focus on balancing quality and cost.

Full UK Driving Licence required.
