Role: Security Systems Service Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Security Systems Service Engineer based in Birmingham? This is a strong opportunity to join a specialist fire and security business carrying out planned and reactive servicing across a range of client sites. The role focuses on maintaining monitored intruder alarms, BS8418 CCTV, and access control systems, working with modern technology and established security platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out routine service and maintenance visits across client sites
- Servicing monitored Intruder Alarm systems, BS8418 CCTV, and Access Control systems
- Participation in an on-call engineer rota
- Accurate completion of service, maintenance, and fault-finding documentation
- Diagnosing faults and resolving system issues efficiently
Experience and Certifications Required:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a security systems service or maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of Texecom alarm systems and Texecom Cloud Remote Support
- Strong experience with IP Hikvision CCTV systems
- Working knowledge of Paxton Access Control systems
- Confident use of hand tools and power tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to travel
