Role: Senior Audio Visual Install Engineer
Location: South London
Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum
Are you looking for a Senior Audio Visual Install Engineer position working in South London? As a Senior Audio Visual Install Engineer, you will play a key role in leading onsite delivery, taking ownership of end-to-end AV installations, and handing over fully commissioned systems to a high standard. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, programmers, clients, and mentor junior engineers as part of the technical delivery team.
Responsibilities:

Act as the onsite technical authority, ensuring systems are installed to specification, tested, documented and handed over professionally.

Lead day-to-day onsite installation activities and supervise contractors and junior engineers to maintain quality, safety and programme timelines.

Install and commission professional AV, video conferencing and networked AV systems.

Install and terminate structured cable, including Cat6/Cat6A, speaker cabling and control cabling.

Install displays, projectors, LED, loudspeakers, DSPs and control systems.

Build, dress and label equipment racks to a high standard with strong cable management practices.
Experience and Certifications Required:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an AV Engineer with exposure to commercial or corporate installation projects.

Strong understanding of AV signal flows, including HDBaseT, HDMI, AV-over-IP, Dante, AES67 and USB.

Hands-on experience with Q-SYS, Biamp, Crestron, AMX and/or Extron systems.

Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, PoE, IP addressing and multicast.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, construction drawings and system designs
