Role: Senior Security Works Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Senior Security Works Engineer based in London, looking for a role where your technical expertise genuinely matters? Technical Resources is recruiting for a senior-level engineer to carry out installation, remedial works, and fault-finding across CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. You’ll be working for a well-established security specialist delivering small works, upgrades, and system improvements across client sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of CCTV, intruder alarm, and access control systems on small works and upgrade projects
  • Carrying out remedial works and modifications to existing security systems
  • Fault finding and diagnostics across supported security platforms
  • Commissioning and verification of system performance
  • Liaising directly with clients on site, providing clear technical explanations
  • Identifying defects, non-compliances, and additional works required
  • Reporting defects and scope clearly to the estimations team for pricing and follow-on works
  • Completing job documentation and technical reports
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, British Standards, and health & safety requirements

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Several years of experience working as a Security Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
  • Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Good working knowledge of relevant British Standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS or ECS card
  • Manufacturer training
