Role: Systems Engineer – Fire and Security
Location: Scotland
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of a range of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced technologies and provide technical support across diverse projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, service, and maintain Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to ensure optimal performance.
- Support project delivery from planning through to handover.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients and junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with BS5839, BS EN, and other relevant standards.
- Complete accurate documentation, reports, and system records.
- Promote and adhere to Health & Safety best practices on all sites.
- Collaborate with project managers and service coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience as a Fire & Security Systems Engineer (installation, commissioning, or service).
- Strong technical knowledge of systems such as Gent, Advanced, Honeywell, Hikvision, Paxton, Lenel, Galaxy, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Good understanding of networking and IP-based systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
