Ahead of Security Essen 2014, the jury for the Security Innovation Award has chosen the top candidates from 95 applications. Some 14 companies now go into the final round. Every two years, Messe Essen gives awards in the Technology and Products, Services and Fire Protection categories. In each case, the jury give Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
The Technology & Products category accounted for most applications with 77 submissions while 12 companies put themselves forward as candidates in the Fire Protection category and six exhibitors in the Services category.
The final round of judging runs on August 27. Then, the still remaining 14 candidates will present their products and services in front of the jury.
The winners will be announced and honoured at Messe Essen in the evening before Security Essen, on September 22. Rudi Cerne, presenter of the “Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst” German television series on Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), will again be the compere for the evening.
