Swim challenge

by Mark Rowe

The property services, health and safety, security and risk consultancy, Four Group, has made a donation to the British Heart Foundation to support Mick Helps, Principal Planning Manager of Laing O’Rourke. Mick, 50, is undertaking three of Europe’s most iconic swims in the memory of a lifelong friend, who recently died of heart disease at a young age.

This challenge includes swimming between three continents (Europe, Africa and Asia) in the Gibraltar Strait in May, swimming the English Channel in mid-August and, finally, Hellespont in late August 2016.

Mick says: “To have the opportunity to undertake such an incredible challenge in my land mark year is a dream come true and one I am determined to experience.”

Adrian Wilmshurst, CEO of Four Group added: “I’ve known Mick for many years and am in awe at his undertaking. All at Four Group wish him the very best of luck.”

Mick is hoping to raise £15,000 for BHF. To support him, please visit his charity page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/The3Swims.
