Senstar-Stellar Corporation (SSC), a member of the Magal Group, supplier of outdoor perimeter intrusion detection security products, is to protect Ottawa-based Palladium Auto Park in Canada.
The Auto Park is a 55-acre automotive retail facility and future home to up to twelve separate automotive dealerships. The facility will be completely surrounded by Perimitrax, Senstar-Stellar’s buried cable intrusion detection security sensor. Upon detecting an intrusion, the system trigger CCTV surveillance systems and alert a remote monitoring station.
Jean-Yves Laberge, vice president of Turpin Group inc. said, "Senstar-Stellar’s reputation as a worldwide leader in outdoor perimeter security made them the logical choice for our premier Auto Park facility."
According to the makers, Perimitrax is a covert perimeter intrusion detection security sensor that works by generating an invisible electromagnetic radio-frequency detection field around buried sensor cables. The system identifies intruders moving through the field based on their mass and movement, providing advanced warning to security forces of an intrusion. It has a very high probability of detection, the makers say, very low false alarm rate and the lowest vulnerability to defeat of any outdoor sensor. The sensor is completely covert, the makers add, does not affect site appearance, is terrain-following and ignores environmental effects and small animals. Further, its sensor cables can be used for power distribution, data collection and communication, remote sensor test and calibration, and remote control of auxiliary sensors and devices.
