Boots The Chemists has selected Reliance Security Services to provide it with manned security at a number of its retail outlets across the UK.
The retail division of Reliance has won the tender to provide retail security at 121 Boots outlets in South West England, South Wales, Yorkshire and the North East and the South.

The two-year 6,000-hour contract accounts for practically one third of Boots ‘total security services business. The retail outlets involved will be serviced by local Reliance centres based in Leeds, Newcastle, Crawley, Bristol, Cardiff, Chatham, Southampton and Exeter.

Commenting on the business win, Carolyn Stokes, Head of Retail at Reliance, said: "We offered Boots a comprehensive service and in-depth management knowledge. One of the main reasons why we won this business is because Boots realised that our national infrastucture would provide them with a high level, consistent service at branches throughout the country." The recent contract win represents one of a series of business wins for Reliance’s retail division which has recently expanded its contract with Tesco and won the tender to provide retail security at 55 Homebase stores in North England, the Midlands, South Wales and the South West.
