Clash Of Titans

by msecadm4921

Distributor of electronic security Norbain has unveiled what it calls a Clash of the Titans supplier line-up for Securex 2004, the security event at Earls Court 2 from October 12 to 14.

Vista, the brand of CCTV, will be joined on Norbain’s stand by American Dynamics, Dallmeier, Dedicated Micros, and Dennard. Securex marks the first appearance in the UK for two new Vista products due to be launched this autumn: Vista Graphica, the new graphical user interface for the Triplex Columbus Digital Video Recorder, and Vista eclipse, Vista’s new camera for 360 degree continuous monitoring. Vista will also be exhibiting a range of Triplex and Solo DVRs, in addition to the Vista PowerDome.

DVR in retail

American Dynamics will feature an Intellex D60031P Digital Video Recorder, part of the Intellex range, which is, the firm says, an intelligent digital video management system that combines multiplexing, alarm/event detection, video, audio, and text recording. The recorder will be linked to a till to illustrate a typical retail application. Also on display will be the ADDG4016 Digital Multiplexer, and two domes – the SpeedDome Ultra VII RAS916 and the SpeedDome Optima.

Motion sensor, DVR

The centrepiece of Dallmeier Electronics’ exhibit will be the DVS600 intelligent motion sensor and digital recorder. This hybrid unit combines a complete recording system with a motion detector and is particularly suited to sensitive applications where security staff must be alerted quickly and efficiently, the makers say. Dallmeier will also exhibit the MDMS-4P digital recorder with four inputs and its 24 input equivalent, the DLS24S1. The technical configuration of all three units is based on Dallmeier’s Generation III hardware platform.
Dedicated Micros will exhibit three of their latest products. The Eco4 is a digital video multiplex recorder designed to replace the traditional VCR/ multiplexer combination. The DV-IP Server is a Network Video Server, digitising videoand recording from multiple analogue camera inputs and then transmitting video for viewing anywhere over a standard computer IP network. Finally the Digital Sprite 2 combines digital multiplexing, digital recording, CD archiving, multiple-user network viewing and multiple dome control.

New dome

Dennard will display their new Dennard 2060 PTZ dome camera. This boasts enhanced features including a new intuitive menu structure, improved IR performance, advanced privacy, preset positions and tour facilities, clock and calendar functions, multi language options and optimised compatibility with Dedicated Micros controllers.
