Demonstration Room

by msecadm4921

As part of Swift Fire & Security (Group) plc’s new head office in the City of London, featured last issue, control room manufacturer Winsted has supplied a console and display section for a demonstration room at the company’s branch.

Swift Fire & Security supplies a range of equipment and services including CCTV systems and monitoring, fire detection, intruder alarms, access control and PAVA [public address voice alarm] systems. Swift offers a full project management service, tailored to client requirements and project size, ranging from regular visits to permanent site supervision, the firm adds. Service and maintenance contracts are also available to benefit clients, including end users, consultants and mechanical and electrical (M&E) contractors.

Swift’s Group Sales Director, Calvin Avery, notes that the new landmark head office, located in the heart of the City of London, also marks the establishment of its major systems division. With the company’s multi-discipline capabilities now showcased in a purpose-built demonstration room at the premises, Winsted has provided a three-bay, two-tier ‘Premier’ all-wood construction console for the facility, enabling Swift to efficiently demonstrate its fire, security and associated products to potential and existing customers.

The Premier console chosen by Swift is one of six standard console ranges available from Winsted, which also provides tape/media racks, equipment storage units, desks and related components. As part of its market leading pre-installation service, Winsted can also provide design and presentation tools such as colour renderings and 3D ‘walk through’ moving animations that give customers a clear vision of the intended control room environment before it’s constructed.

Speaking at the official launch of Swift’s new head office, attended by invited security consultants, M&E engineers, end user customers and a number of other specialists, Swift’s Systems Operations Director, Jason Gillam, said: "We have had a fantastic response and already have interest in return visits to the multi-functional demonstration room to explain in detail various capabilities and integration of our recommended leading equipment manufacturers.”
