Door Comment

by msecadm4921

Commenting as door staff licences in England and Wales from the Security Industry Authority going live, MacLellan Attlaw Security, part of the facilities services company MacLellan International, reports that it is keen to support any new laws that help to improve and add value to their clients.

Mike Crump, chief operating officers of MacLellan Attlaw Security, says: “We believe policies and laws which maintain high standards across the industry are paramount. We had already started to implement training programmes for our own staff many months ago in readiness for the new laws, as we believe this is key to maintaining professional standards in the security industry. We operate in a customer-focused environment – one that requires training, experience and a balanced approach when dealing with the public in a multitude of differing situations. For this reason alone it is a definite step in the right direction.”

To qualify for the licence all door supervisors must undergo an identity and criminal background check, besides passing the relevant training courses and exams.
