IFSEC: Bluetooth Product

9Solutions, a Bluetooth based Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) provider, at IFSEC announced the release of the first Bluetooth low energy RTLS tag to their IPCS product portfolio.

The uTag has dimensions of 40mm x 8mm, 5 years with single coin-cell battery and can be used with a standard hospital wrist band, lanyard and belt clip.

“The new Bluetooth low energy technology strategically places the 9Solutions product offering as a superiorly advanced technology within the RTLS realm, said Sami Herrala, Managing Director at Oulu, Finland-based 9Solutions. “With other RTLS technologies on the market they will have a problem trying to meet the power consumption usage and locating accuracy required with advanced functionalities for person and asset locating tags. The 9Solutions uTag is able to meet these requirements utilizing the new Bluetooth low energy technology”.
