The British Computer Society Information Security Specialist Group (BCS-ISSG) is holding its 2002 annual conference, ?Consumer security ? a 21st century issue?, on March 21-22 at Milton Hill Conference Centre, Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Commentators – including D.K. Matai, Chairman and Chief Executive of mi2g, Andrew Rathmell, Chief Executive Officer of the Information Assurance Advisory Council, and ISSG committee member Phil Venables – will discuss the impact of September 11 last year on consumer confidence, and the implications for security practitioners. However, the main aim of the conference is to accentuate the positive aspects of using the internet, illustrating the UK Government?s commitment to e-business with case studies from organisations that have securely and successfully exploited e-commerce.
