SCANNA MSC LTD are launching an interactive ‘Mailroom Security Solutions’ training DVD.
The firm says the aim is to develop awareness about threats encountered through the postal system. The training can be carried out inhouse avoiding, the company adds, the hassle, cost, and lost productivity of travel.
The training is suitable, it is claimed, for teaching mailhandling staff on common postal hazards and safe handling procedures and can also be used to refine mailroom security procedures in any organisation. With political, religious and single issue extremism on the increase, according to the company, the DVD focuses on response procedures for dealing with potential threats including suspicious powders, non-lethal parcel devices and improvised explosive devices.
