Wavelet Technology received IFSEC New Exporter of the Year 2004 runner-up award at the IFSEC dinner held at The Hilton Metropole on Monday May 10.
Roger Isaacson, the founder of the company, started two years ago, received the award and was delighted to have been short-listed. He and his team have developed the Wavestore range of Digital Video recorders. He said: ‘We are proud to be recognised for delivering innovative and world leading hardware and software designs in a sector of the security industry dominated by well established suppliers.’ Wavelet Technology determined to take the riskier course of growth by developing its export business in parallel with UK activities. The results show exports consistently over 50pc of revenues, indicating that it is possible to major in export and succeed. The seeds that have now been sown into many overseas markets are expected to bring significant growth in the next two to three years, the firm says.

Export initiative

The major thrust of the export initiative, according to the firm, has been to actively encourage local assembly of its performance products. In-depth training and support has been provided to enable the overseas partners to commence the local manufacture and sales efforts. Enterprise level systems such as WAVESTORE need to coalesce with complementary products and systems and that, the firm claims, was what demonstrated on the company stand at IFSEC this year. Multiple language scripting is supported simultaneously, and includes English, German, French, Hungarian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.
