PTZ Dome

by msecadm4921

Vista has launched the VPL6-SM Vandal Resistant External PTZ dome camera.

A day/night dome, the VPL6 uses a 600TVL resolution ExView Had CCD, 22:1 optical zoom lens and a moving IR cut filter to allow the use of Infra Red (IR) lighting. Enhancing the domes’ use across varied lighting, it also features a low-light sensitivity of 0.01Lux (monochrome), Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), plus 3DNR, so that the maximum scene detail is delivered, even the firm says in highly-contrasting scenes of view.

Suitable for any application where a highly featured, fully-functional dome camera is required, the VPL6 boasts four privacy zones and a total of 120 presets. Each preset can be set-up on a preset-by-preset basis; for VMD, D/N operation, WDR, BLC, gain, brightness and all shutter modes – to ensure the best possible image and functionality can be achieved.

Allowing the dome to work with the majority of popular control systems, the VPL6 also features auto-sensing multi-protocol RS485 and coax telemetry control. The auto sensing ability reduces installation time and with a choice of control options, ensures the dome can be controlled from virtually all leading DVRs and matrices. Its coax control allows the upgrade of existing static cameras to the fully-functional VPL6, without the need for extra cable.

Speeding-up the installation process, the VPL6-SM’s new single-unit sealed case design features a stainless steel bayonet fitting ring, which means that the dome doesn’t have to be opened to the elements.

"Extremely cost-effective versus similar specification dome products, the VPL6-SM’s small and discreet vandal resistant design can be used for either internal or external applications," says Mark Pritchard, Vista’s divisional director. "Featuring an enviable specification that includes continuous rotation, privacy zones and tours, the dome camera is suitable for a wide range of 24/7 surveillance applications."
