Register Of Professionals

by msecadm4921

The Security Institute (stand 17270 at IFSEC in May) and Skills for Security (SfS) are introducing a new Continuous Professional Development (CPD) approach: an on-line register of security professionals.

The bodies describe the register as a credible means for individuals at supervisory management level and above to show their professionalism and competency through assessment against relevant National Occupational Standards. Those registered will qualify for membership of the newly-opened Sørensen Centre in Worcester.

Purpose of register

According to the two bodies, the register will  demonstrate the currency of its members and ensure they have, and maintain, the appropriate skills and levels of knowledge, by means of an independently monitored CPD system, for the roles they are undertaking.
