The Security Institute has brought out the second of their Good Practice Guides.

The Good Practice Guide for Security Risk Management provides members and the wider security world with an overview and guidance on various specialised areas of security management. The 50-page guide describes the key areas of identifying, assessing and responding to security risks and is aimed at both practitioners and those relatively new to risk management.

The guide provides practical advice and guidance, including a list of useful ’Hints and Tips’ at the end of each chapter. Contents Includes:

– Risk Identification
– Risk Analysis and Evaluation
– Risk Response
– Reporting Risk
– Monitoring and Review.

This guide retails at £15 for members (£25 for non members). You can order by phone on 08453 707717 or online at www.security-institute-shop.org.

The first document, Good Practice Guide for Workplace Investigations, featured in the February 2011 print issue of Professional Security.
