Standard Hailed

by msecadm4921

CCTV manufacturer AD Group, the parent company of Dedicated Micros, has been successfully reviewed against the latest version of the Investors in People standard.

Mike Newton, CEO of AD Group, said: “We are delighted, to have secured our Investors in People status for another three years. It is very much a testament to the professionalism of everyone in the business. The Investors in People Standard has provided us with a valuable benchmark in our process of continual improvement and this is our second successful review since first achieving recognition in 2001. At AD we are firmly committed to having the right systems and people in place to maintain our success. Employees at all levels are encouraged to reach their full potential and we actively support any business related training requirements they might have, including at degree level.”

The assessors who conducted the review were impressed by the culture at AD, commenting in their final report that: “AD is a highly successful, innovative organisation which is driven by the dynamic leadership of the CEO and Board of Directors. People feel included and valued, as they are aware of how they contribute and benefit from the success and growth of the Group.”

The company, which reports a turnover of about £93m, adds that it was one of the first companies to embrace the concept of video over IP. The firm adds that its interests now include CCTV systems for aircraft, transport, smoke detection, together with camera technology, digital video signal processors, and digital video recorders and multiplexers. The firm says that it has an ongoing programme of acquisitions, including most recently D-Tec, a video smoke detection product manufacturer.
