Visitor Access

by msecadm4921

Imagine the convenience of being able to find out who is at the front door and with just a simple press of a button, grant access to visitors from anywhere in the home?

The new Locca Connecta from ERA, The Door Lock People, allows you to do just that. When combined with the ERA Locca Multi and Access systems, the ERA Locca Connecta becomes a wireless intercom.

The Multi and Access systems, launched last year, use a remote control unit similar to those used in cars, allowing you to unlock a door at the touch of a button. Designed with elderly customers in mind, it is an easy-to-use locking system comprising a small wall-mounted control unit and remote key fobs, which enable a door to be unlocked from a distance of up to 50m.

The Locca Access system is best suited to domestic properties, and the Locca Multi – that has the facility for different accounts to be set up on the one remote – is ideal for communal properties like apartments and sheltered accommodation as it allows access to both the main door and specified internal door(s).

The new ERA Locca Connecta works with the Locca Multi and Access systems to allow you to speak to your visitors and let them in from a range of up to 200m anywhere in the home or office.

Locca Connecta is simple to use and quick to install, the product firm reports – without the need for an electrician. It has been designed to enhance the existing Locca range and is supplied with a handset charger that can be wall mounted, or placed freestanding on a side unit or table for convenience.

This security system is also suitable, the makers add, for the elderly or for people with mobility issues as it allows them to establish the identity of their visitors, and unlock the door to invite them in, without having the inconvenience and discomfort of having to move from wherever they are in their home. And for additional peace of mind, it has a security override facility to prevent accidental opening.
