Westminster Contract

by msecadm4921

Siemens Building Technologies Security Systems, has been awarded a contract of £1.2m to design, supply and install security systems at 50 Queen Anne’s Gate in Westminster, London.

Designed in the 1970s by Sir Basil Spence and completed in 1976, this 184ft office block is being refurbished by its owners, Land Securities.

Main contractor for the project is Skanska Building who selected Siemens as security specialist on the basis of the company’s experience with installations for sensitive premises, its approach to project management, its stability as an organisation, and the value for money offered by its tender.

Following the installation, Siemens will also carry out all commissioning and proving and, under a separate contract, will provide on-going maintenance support.
