What should a national CCTV strategy look like? is the question posed by a Pereptuity conference.
The March 15 event at the University of Leicester has invited speakers including Martin Lazell, chairman of the Public CCTV Managers Association; Paul Quinsey, of Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham; Martin Taylor, of the British Council of Shopping Centres; Peter Fry of the CCTV User Group; Ian Fowler of product distributor Norbain; Graeme Gerrard, Cheshire Police deputy chief constable, and ACPO lead on CCTV; and Garry Parkins of the Home Office. Chairman is Prof Martin Gill of Perpetuity, author of Home Office-backed research last year on effectiveness of public space CCTV.
