White Light Launch

by msecadm4921

Bosch Security Systems extended its range of solid-state illuminators with the launch of its AEGIS SuperLED White Light version. It enables colour surveillance images at night and delivers uniform illumination for safety in high-risk areas, the makers say.

The new AEGIS SuperLED White Light unit features LEDs with a colour temperature that matches the sensitivity of video camera sensors, assuring surveillance images with maximum colour rendition. This the makers say reduces image noise and increases the video signal, improving night-time imaging.

In common with the other products in the range, AEGIS SuperLED White Light features Bosch’s 3D diffuser technology. This distributes light evenly between a scene’s foreground and background to eliminate the image “hot spots” and under-exposed areas common with other LED-based illuminators – and allows surveillance cameras to operate within their correct dynamic range.

The new white light illuminator also features Bosch’s Constant Light technology, which automatically controls and adjusts light output to compensate for naturally-occurring LED degradation over time as well as variations in LED output caused by fluctuations in temperature.

It is supplied a rugged IP67 rated housing which makes it suitable according to the makers for tough outdoor conditions.
