CCTV product firm TeleEye Group’s TeleEye 3G Mobile Video Surveillance Solution was selected as best 3G application among 80 applications by a panel of Hong Kong wireless industry judges.
The product won the Gold Award in the 3G Application Category in the First Hong Kong Wireless Technology Excellence Awards co-organised by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association and the Hong Kong Productivity Council.
The award marks the best mobile and wireless applications, design and commercial value that can be adopted in business and daily life.
The TeleEye 3G Mobile product is a one-plug module of mobile camera providing remote viewing and alarm verification applications over 3G mobile network. The 3G mobile camera is compatible with all types of CS mount camera lens. When working with the the firm’s proprietary applications software, the 3G mobile camera can be used for central monitoring and multi-site monitoring, the firm reports.
Incorporated with the company’s proprietary compression technology, an image update rate of 12 frames per second can be achieved, it is claimed. The product can conduct surveillance up to 16 remote sites simultaneously, according to the makers. When partnered with TeleEye Central Monitoring Station Software, it becomes a visual management system to trace any emergency activities and events, the firm adds.
The product is suitable for fleet management in cash carriers, police car and marine vessel, outdoor event management, and remote supervision of accident scenes and law enforcement, covert surveillance and investigations, the firm adds.
