The Investigator’s Tool Box is the title of an autocrime training day, by the IAATI UK (International Association of Auto Theft Investigators). It’s running on November 2, at Portishead. IAATI UK reports that it’s re-establishing its annual training weekends. Its trainers are hosting a one day autocrime training event, with the Tactical Crime Unit of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
The training will be held on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at the Avon and Somerset Constabulary Training School, Valley Road, Portishead, BS20 8JJ, five miles from junction 19 of the M5 motorway, west of Bristol.
Organisers say that they will consider a weekend event in 2014 if this training day gets the same enthusiasm as shown in previous training events.

Vehicle examiners and investigators from law enforcement agencies
Insurers
Independent investigators
Those with a genuine interest in the reduction and investigation of vehicle related crime.
Starting at 9.45am, the day will consist of one hour presentations on:
Vehicle Identification
Keys, Locks and Immobilisers
Insurance Investigation
Tracking Opportunities.
The presentations will conclude with input from the Avon and Somerset Tactical Crime Unit.
Coffee and tea will be available from 9.15am; the event will finish at 5pm.
The cost of the training day is £25 for IAATI members and £45 for non-members. This will include lunch, tea and coffee.
All those attending will be required to demonstrate a genuine interest in vehicle crime investigation.
