The UK access control manufacturer TDSi reports that its stand at IFSEC Southeast Asia 2015 in Kuala Lumpur enjoyed a 50pc rise in numbers compared to the company’s initial appearance there in 2013.

John Davies, Managing Director of TDSi, pictured left, “During the three years of attending IFSEC Southeast Asia, we have seen a significant year on year increase in visitors – this year culminated in a significant 50pc increase since our first appearance. We have also seen a keen interest from visitors not only from Malaysia but also from across the Southeast Asia region including Indonesia and the Philippines, highlighting the truly international reach of the security sector and keen interest in modern integrated systems.”

Along with its stand at the show, TDSi also ran a Technical and Sales Seminar for its regional partners, using the chance to engage and assist them on a one-to-one basis. John added: “We ran the seminar during the second day of event and had an impressive 35 partner guests attend. This is the first seminar of its kind that we have run in Malaysia, but we also had partners attend from other countries including Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It was the perfect opportunity for the TDSi team to get a taste of local market demands as well as being beneficial to our partners.”

Visitors to TDSi’s stand at IFSEC Southeast Asia were shown the latest version of its security management software, EXgarde 4.4 and its new range of readers. EXgarde 4.4 includes new features such as a Tenant Event Split option, Elevator Dispatch facility, integration with SimonsVoss SmartIntego wireless locking solutions, an updated EXtour Module and new EXgarde Web Interface.

TDSi’s visit to Malaysia also gave the company an insight into the local security market, with positive feedback from partners and customers at the show. John added: “Whilst the country’s currency has recently fallen against all major currencies because Malaysia has an economy based on natural resources, the feedback we have had is that the local security market is still a buoyant one. We fully expect our business to continue growing for the foreseeable future and look forward to continued success with our partners in the region.”

John Davies made a presentation on the third day of the event entitled ‘Security – the Vision for the Future’, which asked visitors to consider the upcoming developments in security that will shape the Malaysian security market. TDSi also awarded its ‘Export Partner of the Year Award’ to Vastiq Solutions at the show, in recognition of the company’s growth in business and projects under way in the region.
