Extended warranty for wireless devices

by Mark Rowe

The alarm panel manufacturer Pyronix announces extended warranty for all wireless devices by a year – now offering three years, provided specified batteries are used. A device must be powered by specific batteries recommended by the firm. These approved batteries ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety helping installers avoid unnecessary costs and reducing the risk of malfunctions or hazards.

Laurence Kenny, Product Director said: โ€œOur products undergo tens of thousands of hours of rigorous testing with different cell types. This extensive testing guarantees the batteries that we recommend provide our customers with the best possible experience and maximum product performance.

โ€œThese specific cells not only maximise product battery life, but also reduce callouts, saving both time and money. Suboptimal batteries can trigger false low-battery warnings or even sudden device shutdowns leading to inconvenient and avoidable callouts.โ€

Beyond performance concerns, the manufacturer says that using unapproved batteries poses potential safety risks for customers and the planet. Inefficient batteries can lead to leaks, over-heating and even fires, endangering properties and the surrounds. Furthermore, improper disposal of low-quality batteries contributes to environmental pollution.
