Intersec 2017 pavilion

by Mark Rowe

The trade body the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is encouraging UK companies to consider exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion at Intersec 2017.

As an Approved Trade Organisation for the security sector, the BSIA organises a number of such pavilions at industry overseas events. The association is now calling for exhibitors to book their space in the UK Pavilion at Intersec Dubai 2017, from January 22 to 24 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Intersec in 2016 attracted over 30,000 international visitors from 112 countries.

As part of a UK Pavilion, UK exporters promote their products and services alongside each other at a reduced cost, and benefit from being located in a prime, central location on the show floor. Exporters are exhibiting as part of the ‘Great Britain brand’.

Membership and Export Services Manager at the BSIA, Daren Wood, pictured, says: “The UK Pavilion at Intersec is regularly the largest international pavilion across any sector in any show, and as such, is quickly becoming the first stop for visitors to the show looking to source innovative and quality products and services. In addition to exhibiting under the ‘Great Britain brand’, companies exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion also gain access to a range of top class support from the BSIA.”

The BSIA acts as the main liaison between exhibitors and the show organisers, and can assist companies with the shipment of goods and construction of stands. Throughout the show, the BSIA will have representatives on hand to deal with any technical issues; and works with show organisers to promote the pavilion and the companies exhibiting within it.

Peter Jarvis, Senior Executive VP of Storm Interface, exhibited at Intersec as part of the UK Pavilion in January 2016 and believes that this contributed to a successful show: “Being part of the UK Pavilion was a very positive experience. With the logistics of stand construction and provision of services being largely handled by the BSIA, we were able to concentrate on the promotional and sales activities required to make our trade show presence as productive as it could be. We were really impressed with the level of support provided by the BSIA both before and during Intersec.”

Stand space in the UK Pavilion at Intersec will be available to book immediately and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Contact Daren Wood by emailing [email protected].
