HKC Security has launched its Smart Video Doorbell. The CAM-DBKT combines high definition (HD) video and detection, for residential and commercial security projects.
The device delivers 1080p video with a wide 154 degree field of view and night vision, for visibility at all times. Two-way audio with echo cancellation enables natural, real-time communication, giving the users the ability to interact with visitors via the SecureComm App. The cloud-based AI detection can distinguish between people, vehicles, pets and packages. This reduces false activations and unnecessary notifications, the makers add.
A differentiator, the manufacturer – part of the multi-national Assa Abloy – adds is the doorbellโs native integration with HKC alarm panels and the SecureComm Cloud. This allows installers to offer a unified security ecosystem, rather than a stand-alone smart device, the firm adds.
The unit supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity and offers dual power options, including a 6500mAh rechargeable battery via USB-C or connection to a standard bell transformer. A wireless transmitter supports plug-in chimes, with a chime included as standard, removing the need for extra components.
From a security perspective, the system incorporates tamper detection and secure cloud video storage using adaptive streaming, for data protection and without reliance on local SD cards. The doorbell comes with an IP65-rated housing.
Paul Fitzgerald, Managing Director of HKC, said: โThis launch is about giving installers a smarter, more cohesive way to extend security right to the front door. By combining installer-friendly design, intelligent functionality and seamless integration with existing HKC systems, the Smart Video Doorbell enables professionals to expand their offering with a reliable, high-quality solution that aligns with modern security expectations.โ
