Fire approved partner

The west country security contract firm Securi-Guard Fire and Security reports it’s become an approved systems partner with the manufacturers of life safety systems, Hochiki Europe (UK) Ltd. Securi-Guard is offering the firm’s life safety equipment including fire detection and emergency lighting system solutions, suitable the companies say for commercial and industrial applications. Bob Truesdale said Hochiki has a long established reputation in the industry for offering quality fire detection solutions. He said: “I am equally delighted that our new partners recognise Securi-Guard’s standing in this highly competitive sector and have shown confidence in our ability to secure new sales opportunities for their products. We look forward to a highly successful and mutually beneficial partnership with the team at Hochiki.”

The Hochiki Corporation was founded in Tokyo in 1918 and today, in Japan, it employs a total of 1,300 staff via three factories, 35 sales offices and 13 subsidiaries.

As a designer, manufacturer, installer and maintainer of fire alarm systems, Hochiki produces in excess of three million fire detection units a year in Japan. The company also produces fire extinguishing, security and cable television systems. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company expanded its geographical areas of operation into America and Europe, where it has invested via a purpose built production facility and technical support centre in Gillingham, Kent.
