Approved contractor score hailed

by Mark Rowe

After the 2015 annual independent audit, APCOA PARKING (UK) is hailing that it’s been again named in the top five per cent of the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme. APCOA adds that it achieved its highest ever score of 150.

APCOA’s security activities, which are licensable under the SIA, were all assessed across randomly selected operational locations. These comprised, among others: security guarding; and CCTV-public surveillance in Cardiff, and Luton and Dunstable University Hospital (pictured) respectively.

It’s the fifth year that APCOA has been assessed by the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB), which is one of the specialist certification bodies that do ACS assessments.

The initial assessment is a full criteria assessment conducted every three years to ensure best practice/compliance. Upon successful completion, companies are assessed annually on a number of indicators which are randomly selected by the assessor.
