The security contractor VSG has been awarded 12 Security Personnel Awards by the British Security Association (BSIA) in annual awards.

VSG, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, was awarded prizes for; Service to the Customer; Outstanding Act; Best Newcomer; and Best Use of Technology across the Midlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, South East, South West, and Yorkshire. The security services provider also won three Best Team awards.

The BSIA’s Security Personnel Awards are presented annually at regional and national level, and recognise security personnel who demonstrate dedication, loyalty, teamwork, customer service skills, use of technology and bravery on a daily basis.

Keith Francis, Managing Director of VSG, said; “Our teams work hard to provide a consistently high standard of service on a daily basis. We are incredibly proud to receive these awards from the BSIA in recognition of our efforts, and are committed to continuing to lead the industry, developing and improving our services even further in the future.”

Trevor Elliott, Director of Manpower and Membership Services at the BSIA, said: “The high calibre of nominations received this year made it particularly challenging to appoint our winners. For this reason in 2012 we have a particularly high number of winners, with many regions having more than one per category. It is a source of pride for the BSIA to be associated with such incredible talent in our industry.” Each of VSG’s regional award winners are now going forward to the national Security Personnel Awards, which will be announced at the BSIA’s Annual Luncheon on 27 June at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
