Leadenhall Building contract

by Mark Rowe

The building management company Broadgate Estates has awarded a contract to Incentive Lynx Security to provide security services at The Leadenhall Building in the heart of the City of London. The contract follows a competitive tender and starts when the building is completed.

Under the terms of the three-year deal the guard firm, part of the Incentive FM Group, will provide services including building security management, front of house security, control room and CCTV monitoring, vehicle access and goods-in. Around 35 officers will operate the contract 24/7. The Leadenhall Building, a joint venture between British Land and Oxford Properties, has seven-storeys and a landscaped galleria at ground level. Once completed the 736ft (224m) high office tower will offer 610,000 sq ft of lettable floor space over 46 floors.

Craig Pickard, Managing Director at Incentive Lynx Security, said: ‘This is the City of London’s most iconic new development and has already attracted prestigious occupiers and visitors from all over the world. We recognise the high levels of innovation and service that are required to ensure a world class experience and have the skills and experience to deliver it.”

Angelo Christou, Client Services Director at Broadgate Estates, said: “Our objective has been to select service partners who will work together at The Leadenhall Building as one team, engaging with each other and our occupiers to deliver a world class service. We are pleased to be working with Incentive Lynx Security on this new and exciting project.”
