Regent Samsic reports gains

by Mark Rowe

Regent Samsic has reported new business gains in its cleaning and security operations for the third quarter of 2013.

Additions to the contractor’s cleaning portfolio includes St Paul’s Girls’ School in Birmingham and Myton School, Warwick; Mercedes-Benz Bristol; regional offices operated nationally by Provident Financial; and further wins within its Monmouthshire County Council contracts that take in the Abergavenny and Chepstow clusters.

Coventry-based Regent Samsic speaks also of encouraging rates of contract retention over the past 12 months.

Regent Security’s three-year contract to manage CCTV control for Hinckley town centre has been extended for a further five years while the cleaning division has retained Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s ground at Headingley, Leeds, pictured; and Brooklands College.

Regent Cleaning has retained its sites for NHS Blood and Transplant in a further three-year contract, with possible extensions, covering cleaning, portering and handyman duties. The Cleaning division has also retained its service to Birmingham Metropolitan College.

A bundled cleaning and security offer to Fosse Shopping Park, where Regent’s services also include maintenance and park presentation, has also been retained and extended.

Regent Samsic joint managing director John Critchell says: “If there’s one thing better than winning new business, it’s when an existing customer values what you do sufficiently to want to continue retaining your services. Our remit to providing value-added services wherever we work is I believe fundamental to Regent Samsic’s steady growth rate and we look forward to announcing news of added service offers in the next quarter.”

Founded in 1986, £30m-turnover Regent Samsic fields a staff count of more than 3000 personnel from 14 UK locations servicing over 1200 contracts on behalf of public and private sector clients.
