Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, the fire protection and security product company, introduces high-definition Illustra Pro IP Mini-Dome cameras in 3- and 5-megapixel resolutions.
The US firm says the new domes provide high-definition, real-time video images (3MP). Whether in bright sunlight, or in near or total darkness, details such vehicle number plates, merchandise labels, faces and even blurred objects, can clearly be seen, the makers say.
Delivering high-definition video at full frame rates, the mini-domes offer wide dynamic range and on-board motion-detection and analytics, such as Region of Interest (ROI) and face detection, to reduce storage and bandwidth requirements and costs. With support for the addition of exacqVision Edge VMS (video management software), the domes offer a complete solution according to the firm without the need to configure and maintain extra VMS server hardware.

The products are configured using almost any web browser to access the camera interface for feature control, including one-touch focus and motorised zoom. lllustra Connect is a remote management and configuration software tool. Installation of multiple cameras can be by using web browsers on smart-phones and tablets, a first in the Illustra camera range.
