Fog Bandit launch

by Mark Rowe

For the past four years, the inventor and manufacturer of the anti-robbery fogging product Fog Bandit 240DB has been developing a more compact product designed for smaller sites, commercial and domestic. The new Fog Bandit 320 was launched at the IFSEC 2017 exhibition in London in June.

The new Fog Bandit 320 can be mounted in any orientation, the makers say, whether wall, ceiling or low level mounting. The product comes with a weight of 7kg (max 9kg with cartridges installed) and independent control box for all the electronics. The self-change fog cartridges are disposable and eliminate the need and associated cost for the attendance of an engineer to replace. Optional shell & facia colours are available to special order.

The key objective with the 320 the firm stresses was not to compromise on performance while reducing the size for the fog generator. With the creation of a new and patented heat exchanger, the 320 can protect smaller rooms with a fog ejection reaction time of just 0.25 of a second from when an activation signal is received and fog fully ejected within no greater than four seconds, according to the firm. Due to that volume of fog, the 320 has a multi-holed ejection nozzle.
