Predator partner

Corps Security has announced a strategic partnership with AlertSystems and 360 Vision Technology. The security contractor’s Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) can now facilitate the use of the Predator CCTV range. Predator is a dual Infra Red (IR) and White Light pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) camera. The WL150 model offers up to 125 metres (m) of IR illumination and 125m of ultra bright white for true colour at night.

Mark Rees, business development director at 360 Vision Technology, said: ‘Predator adds a new dimension to surveillance by using remotely activated and controlled directional light to deter intruders. It allows high quality images of faces, clothes, vehicles and other details to be accurately and clearly recorded, and the light can be used to follow intruders in the same way that a police searchlight does.’

Corps Security has integrated 360 Vision Technology’s Predator system into the Glasgow-based CMC. The CMC provides third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to a range of customers across many market sectors.

Predator’s White Light feature is the result of the close working relationship that AlertSystems has with 360 Vision Technology. AlertSystems is a Wiltshire based nationwide security installation specialist providing service and installations to all types of business across the UK including major corporate organisations. Paul Rolfe, Technical Operations Manager of AlertSystems said: ‘360 Vision Technology supplies directly to its key installation partners and this gives us the opportunity to provide our feedback and suggestions. Looking for a CCTV solution that would bring greater deterrent value to remotely monitored CCTV systems, I first discussed with Mark the possibility of incorporating high powered LED (light emitting diode) based lighting into a PTZ Camera, the idea grew and developed from there and Predator’s Dual IR and White Light Camera was born.’

The three organisations eventually came together when Corps contacted AlertSystems to promote its CMC. During an initial meeting, Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, was shown the Predator Dual IR and White Light Camera. He said: ‘We are always looking for ways to be more proactive in the way that we monitor sites and I recognised that Predator would be a welcome addition to our exiting technology portfolio.’

Operatives at the CMC are able to use the Predator across a range of sites including utilities, industrial estates, supermarkets and the railway network, where they are helping to combat copper cable thefts.

Corps Security’s Eric Roberts added: ‘I’m delighted to be able to announce this new partnership with AlertSystems and 360 Vision Technology. It has all the ingredients of a mutually beneficial arrangement that highlights our ethos of providing monitoring services to our continually growing customer base.’
