Upgrade with 50 zones

by Mark Rowe

The security product company RISCO Group has released a 50-zone version of their security system LightSYS2.

Suitable for wired and wireless applications, this upgraded version of LightSYS2 is the makers say for large and multi-site applications, and includes 50 wired relay zones, 50 wireless zones and up to 32 RISCO Bus detector zones. With 32 programmable outputs and four partitions, the new system is the manufacturers say for installers looking for one flexible panel to suit a variety of needs.

As with the original, the new 50-zone version still offers a self-monitoring smartphone App (also available via web browser), which allows users to connect and control their alarm systems remotely. Connections can be made using RISCO Bus, EOL or wireless detectors. This reduces the engineering hours required per application, the firm says. Remote service capability also means most issues can be resolved without the need for an engineer to attend site, it is claimed.

Steve Riley, Commercial Director of RISCO Group UK and Ireland, says: “Designed with ease of installation in mind, LightSYS2 has always offered enhanced performance and flexibility, with advanced IP and GSM/GPRS or STU adaptor communication. The upgrade to 50 zones means that LightSYS2 can now be used for almost every installation. It will help installers win more business in a tough market whilst improving margins and increasing recurring revenue.”
