Software bundled with fanless PC

by Mark Rowe

TinyGreenPC has bundled Milestone XProtect, the video surveillance software, with its fanless FitPC to create an IP based security system that can handle from a handful of cameras to a substantial installation.

Paul Mullen, Sales Director of Anders, the parent company of TinyGreenPC, said: “Milestone Systems is one of the world’s leading provider of open platform IP video management software (VMS). TinyGreenPC has shown that their FitPC range is an ideal complement to this software. Video surveillance systems by their nature operate for extended periods, often 24×7, and need to be totally reliable. These characteristics play directly to the strengths of the FitPC, which can draw as little as 8W. FitPC offers a network video recording solution that is compact, robust and use very little energy.”

He added that customers including Wavestore, Eyelynx and Genatec have already used this combination of software and the fanless PC.

TinyGreenPC is bundling XProtect with its FitPC range. This range of solid state fanless PCs has units as small as 10 x 11.5 x 2cm drawing only 8W. These units are offered with Intel Atom or AMD Dual and Quad Core processors and up to 1 Terabyte of hard disk space, offering the makers say capacity to record security events. The PCs feature a five-year warranty. Visit www.tinygreenpc.com/security/.
