The access security product manufacturer TDSi and its technology distributor Midwich are welcoming visitors to the Technology Exposed 2015 event from Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday 17, at Mercedes Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey. TDSi will be available to discuss the application of access control across a range of sectors, and the benefits of integrating these with other IT and business systems.

With the advent of greater integration between IT and security systems, access control has become a key part of the security and IT services of any organisation, the firm adds. Being able to link access control to other security systems (such as CCTV and intruder alarms) has benefits for the management and control of any situation, according to the firm. There are other advantages too, such as using access control to administer accurate time and attendance recording. Access control can also ensure safety by recording the occupants within a facility, which is especially valuable in an emergency such as a fire, when evacuation and tracking the whereabouts of people is vital.
Options with access control authentication include flexible and highly affordable authentication cards to biometrics systems including fingerprint readers and even more advanced options such as facial recognition. TDSi says that the partnership with Midwich has grown rapidly since the two businesses became partners two years ago.
